# TV & Mobile (Android, Fire TV, Apple TV, iOS)

> Using the native app on Android TV, Fire TV, Apple TV, iOS, and Android

This native app covers Android TV, Fire TV, Apple TV (tvOS), iOS, and Android phones/tablets. The core experience is the same across platforms; the main difference is how you select things (D-pad on TV, touch on mobile).

<Note>
  Last-channel recall, channel up/down, and number-key channel entry are not available on this app today (they exist on Roku; see [Roku](/apps/roku)).
</Note>

## Live TV

| Action | How |
| - | - |
| **Favorite a channel** | Long-press a channel (Guide or Channels screen) to open an action sheet with **Favorite/Unfavorite**, **Record**, and **Cancel**. |
| **Record a program** | Long-press a program in the Guide (not available from the Channels screen). Only shown for programs that haven't started yet. |
| **Favorites category** | Appears first in the Guide and Channels category tabs once you have any favorites. |
| **Picture-in-picture (PiP) audio** | While watching a PiP channel with multiple audio sources, an audio-track button lets you pick which source plays. |
| **Catch up to live** | A **GO LIVE** button appears in the player overlay whenever you've rewound behind the live edge. |

## On-demand (movies & TV)

| Action | How |
| - | - |
| **Resume / Start Over** | Movie and series detail screens show **Resume** when you have progress, plus **Start Over**; otherwise just **Play**. For a series, Resume picks up the most recently in-progress episode. |
| **Player overlay** | Tap/select anywhere on the video to bring it up: Back, skip back 10s, Play/Pause, skip forward 10s, and an **Options** button. It auto-hides after \~8s (6s on mobile). |
| **Seek** | Focus the scrub bar and press **Left**/**Right** to jump 10 seconds per press, or drag it on a touchscreen. |
| **Subtitles, audio, playback speed** | The **Options** button opens a menu with three tabs: **Subtitles** (including Off), **Audio**, and **Speed** (0.5x to 2x). Your choice is remembered per video. |

## Recordings

Long-press a recording: **Play**/**Delete** if it's finished, or **Cancel Recording** if it's still scheduled.

## Exiting the player

Android's Back button and the Apple TV Siri Remote's Menu button both close the Options menu first if it's open, then exit the player on a second press.
