# Web

> Using Kernel in your browser

The web app is served directly from your Kernel server. Just open `http://<your-server>:9014` (or your configured domain). No install needed, and no separate server-URL field at sign-in since it's implied.

<Warning>
  The web app currently has no way to favorite a channel or schedule a recording, and no in-app subtitle picker. Use a native app (see [TV & Mobile](/apps/android-apple-tv)) or [Roku](/apps/roku) for those.
</Warning>

## Live TV

* **Guide & Channels**: category tabs (defaults to **Favorites** if you have any), plus a search box for channels and programs (2+ characters).
* **Picture-in-picture (PiP) audio**: while watching a PiP channel with more than one audio source, an **Audio track** button lets you choose which one plays.

## On-demand (movies & TV)

* **Resume / Start Over / Mark Watched**: the content detail page shows your resume position (with percent watched), plus buttons for Resume, Start Over, Mark as Watched, and Play.
* **Continue Watching row**: each card on Home has an options menu: **Remove**, **Mark Watched**, **Mark Unwatched**.
* **Skip Intro / Skip Credits**: buttons appear automatically during playback and fade after 8 seconds.
* **Playback controls**: the browser's native video controls (seek, volume, fullscreen, picture-in-picture) via the standard HTML5 player.

## Recordings

The Recordings page shows a status badge per recording: **Play** when complete, **Retry** if it failed, or **Delete** (with confirmation).

## Account

From **Profile**, you can change your avatar and password. Everything else (libraries, sources, users, transcoder nodes) is admin-only; see the in-app Settings pages.
