Every Kernel client signs in the same way: a server URL, a username, and a password. There’s no QR code or pairing code flow on any platform today.

Server URL

Enter your server’s address including the scheme and port, for example http://192.168.1.50:9014 or https://media.example.com. (The web app skips this step since it’s already being served from your server.)

Username and password

Use the admin account from setup, or an account an admin created for you in Settings > Users.
Roku opens straight into the Live TV guide after signing in, rather than the Home screen.

Linking a Kernel account (admin, web only)

This is separate from user sign-in. From the user menu, admins can Link with Kernel to connect the server to a kernelmedia.tv account. If that account has an active Pro or Lifetime license, this is what unlocks Pro features like Remote Transcoding; see Pro & Lifetime Features. It doesn’t affect how individual users sign in.
